Sascha Archer~Postpartum Doula and Art Therapist

Sascha Archer is a postpartum doula and art therapist. She started caring for postpartum families while attending graduate school for art therapy in 2007 in Vancouver BC, Canada. Sascha returned to Portland recently after living abroad for nearly a decade and has fulfilled a lifelong dream of residing on Sauvie Island in a converted barn on 11 acres with her partner.

At age two, Sascha watched her brother's home birth in her family’s rural log-cabin home in Snow Creek, Washington. As a young child her folks referred to her as "the little Mother." These days friends, past clients and family fondly refer to her as "the Baby Whisperer." One of her greatest assets is her "Mother Hen" nature and the way in which she nurtures and cares for others. She believes it is a gift and a privilege to support families during such a precious time.

Sascha has degrees in Early Childhood Education and Human Development from Warner Pacific College and her Master's in Art Therapy from the Vancouver Art Therapy Institute. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her two precious nephews, straw bale gardening, canoeing, swimming, preserving and fermenting, hot yoga, birding and traveling abroad with her sweetie.
