Pictures & Stories from the Family Feeding Nest at Pickathon 2022

Pickathon 2022 has come and gone, but the memories and connections made with families at our Feeding Nest remain fresh in our minds and hearts! Click the pics below to enlarge.

Over the course of the first weekend in August, many families dropped in to the Family Feeding Nest in Coyote Grove. There, they cozied in to nurse, pump or just relax with their babies and toddlers in the shade, while BB’s postpartum doula and lactation staff provided parenting perspective, power for pumps, coolers and storage bags for milk, and fun activities for older kiddos.

For the BB team, it was another opportunity to help families to explore and enjoy their world in a supported way, and we loved getting to meet and connect with so many parents and their littles.

For those who attended the Family Feeding Nest was a place of respite. Mom Myra M wrote “it was a lifesaver during a hot, sunny weekend of camping with our newborn. Annie offered to hold my babe, and was super loving, gentle and caring. She gave me a long break to get food and a drink with my husband and toddler. The other doulas were super kind and welcoming. I’d love to have any of them as my postpartum doula at home!”

We’re grateful to have been a part of such an incredible music festival - and we’re already planning for next year! Hope to see you there!
