Meet our Founder - Merriah Fairchild
My name is Merriah Fairchild.
I’m a certified postpartum doula and lactation consultant because I know first hand that we are not meant to do this baby thing alone.
As a new mother, with most of my family far away, I struggled with isolation and anxiety with my first baby. Three years later I gave birth to my second daughter and discovered unimaginable exhaustion. I felt blessed and cursed at the same time. I had waited years to become a mom, even struggled with infertility. So why was I unhappy?
Because I was lonely. I needed community, a sense of solidarity and shared purpose with other new parents.
I slowly made dear friends at the playground, library story-time, breastfeeding support groups - and that made all the difference.
I realized that we are not meant to do this alone. But together, it can be the sweetest time of your life.
I fell in love with the idea of creating a holistic one-stop-shop for postpartum care by bringing postpartum doulas and lactation consultants together to offer coordinated, custom plans as unique as each family.
I continue to work with families directly (I can’t get enough of the quiet, slow hours of an overnight visit with a brand new baby) and work with our leadership team to create custom postpartum plans for each of our families.
