I had such a wonderful experience doing in-home postpartum yoga sessions with Jess. She created a safe and supportive space by guiding me through movements I could comfortably and confidently perform.

Because of her years of experience as a postpartum doula, she brings a deep understanding of postpartum recovery and combines it beautifully with her expertise as a yoga instructor. Beyond her expertise, she is a kind, thoughtful, and lovely person to work with.”

About Jessica Goetz (Jess), your Postpartum Yoga Instructor

Jess was first introduced to yoga when she was twelve and her mother brought home a Kathy Smith Yoga VHS tape. From that point on she was hooked!

In 2014, Jess was inspired to take her practice a step further and went on to complete her 200 RYT Hatha Yoga training in Denver, CO thru Axis Yoga.  After the birth of her first child, yoga stepped in again and helped Jess’s mind and body recover and it was at this point she knew she wanted to support others on their birth journey. In 2017, Jess studied under the Bhaktishop’s Shana Celnicker-Chong and gained her training in Pre and post-natal yoga. Jess continues to cultivate her personal practice and teaching practice under the guidance and support of her teacher Clara Roberts-Oss.

Jess is a Postpartum Doula based in Portland and mother of two.  When she is not on her mat you can find her cooking, adventuring in the woods with her family or curled up with a book and cup of coffee. Jess loves connecting with the community and strives to create a safe and welcoming place to practice.

It can be hard to show up and care for yourself as a new parent but with Jess’ warm presence and knowledge by your side, you can relax for those moments and take it all in through mind and movement.

She knows what exercises and poses my specific recovering body needed post c-section and gave me several tools and tips to carry with me beyond our sessions”
