Katie Alexander

Certified Postpartum Doula | she/her

“Katie has been a gift for our family. She is competent, kind, comfy, & grounded.”

—Summer N., mother of four including triplets

Katie is a certified postpartum doula specializing in twin care and parenting after infertility & loss. She has held a lifelong interest in babies and childbirth. From a young age she ducked out of church services to help with the babies in the nursery so their parents could enjoy the service. As a teenager, her older siblings and cousins began to have children, and her mother modeled for her how the response to a newborn should be to help, even when the baby was asleep and no where to be seen.

In her own adult life, Katie has worked in day care settings, public schools, outdoor classrooms, and as a labor doula. She has three children (including a set of twins), and thoroughly enjoys the opportunity to ease the newborn period for growing families. She possesses a deep empathy for the challenges of parenting, and holds a special place in her heart for the tender postpartum time.

In her free time, Katie enjoys camping, dancing, hiking, skiing, gardening, reading, writing and snuggling in by a fire.
