Meet the Bridgetown Baby Feeding Team

The smiling faces of the Bridgetown Baby feeding team say it all - these people love their jobs! On this IBCLC Day, we celebrate our IBCLCs for the support they give to families all along the feeding journey.

What is an IBCLC? International Board Certified Lactation Consultants (IBCLCs) work as members of the perinatal care team as specialists in human lactation and infant feeding. They work with families to define and reach their goals for feeding their babies. Lactation consultants aren’t just for families who are bodyfeeding (breastfeeding, chestfeeding, and human milk pumping) - they also teach and support families with bottle feeding, formula use, and other strategies for supplementation.

IBCLCs are credentialed internationally by the International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners, and must meet strict initial training and ongoing continuing education requirements to maintain their title.

Bridgetown Baby’s feeding team members carry the IBCLC credential and a healthcare license issued by the Oregon Health Authority - but more than that, they carry with them respect, empathy, compassion and clinical excellence as they support families like yours.
