One Family's Gift to Other Families

On July 19th this year, Katarina Baratta, a beloved member of the Bridgetown Baby community, lost her mother after a long illness. In lieu of flowers, the family of Elisabeth Pozzi-Thanner asked friends and family to donate to Bridgetown Baby's "pay it forward" fund to support families in need.

"My mother was so enthusiastic about giving me the gift of your help," says Katarina, "and we were both so impressed by your services. I know she would want to do the same for single mothers, families with physical limitations, or families who don't have the funds to pay for the support they need."

Elisabeth Pozzi-Thanner spent many years volunteering with people with mental and physical disabilities, and also worked for SOS Kinderdorf, an international foster organization. A Catholic Austrian, Elisabeth conducted hundreds of Holocaust interviews for the Shoah Foundation to preserve a recorded memory of that history. She adored children, especially her grandchildren, and the contributions of friends and family to Bridgetown Baby's "pay it forward" fund is a fitting legacy of the life she lived.

We're so honored by Elisabeth's family's gift - if you'd like to add to the impact of that gift, you can do so here.
