BB Partner Profile: Baby Blues Connection

It takes a village to raise a child, and as an agency we cultivate a village of partner providers who support our clients in making the childbearing year nurtured, healthy and vibrant.

Each month, we profile one of our partners - it’s one more way in which we strive to weave a comprehensive safety net for our clients and build up other local businesses who are also working to shift toward a culture that truly respects and cherishes families.

Having a baby can turn your world upside down, even as it fulfills dreams of happiness; the feelings it brings up can weave wildly between elation and despair.

It’s not a journey we were meant to do alone - the friend, family and community ties that bind are often a net that catches us when we are feeling down. Sometimes, though, we need more support for our mental and emotional wellbeing.

As postpartum care professionals, we are so grateful for Portland’s Baby Blues Connection - BBC is an invaluable resource for new families, supporting parents and their families coping with pregnancy and postpartum mood disorders. BBC provides information, resources, and community for families, while also connecting and supporting the volunteers, staff and professionals who serve them.

You can learn more about Baby Blues Connection in the post they shared on the Bridgetown Baby blog , and hear from a Baby Blues Connection volunteer about her journey and her work at the Nurturing Circle on Tuesday, November 16th.
