Report: Making a Difference for Survivors of Domestic Violence

We wanted to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who participated in our recent community drive in honor of Domestic Violence Awareness Month. It was a wonderful success!

Thanks to your generosity, we received enough donations of children's clothes, toys, and books to pack 35 age-specific backpacks. These backpacks will be given to children when they arrive at the Raphael House of Portland family shelter, providing much-needed comfort during a frightening time and helping them attend school with dignity.

These efforts are vital, as statistics from the Washington County Family Justice Center indicate that in Oregon, 40% of women and 36% of men experience domestic violence, and over half of all women in the state experience sexual assault—numbers that exceed the national average.

At Bridgetown Baby, we envision a world where all families live without abuse or fear for their safety.

For over 45 years, Raphael House of Portland has helped survivors find safety, hope, and independence as a critical step toward ending the cycle of violence. We are proud to be in our second year of partnership with Raphael House, and are already planning the next phase of our work together.

We hope you will join us for our next initiative!

With love,

Your Bridgetown Baby Team
