Deanna Hunt | she/her
Certified Postpartum Doula | Bend, OR
“Working alongside Deanna was magical! From the outset, she created a safe, nurturing environment, allowing focus on my personal journey without judgment. Her composed presence, playful humor, and caring demeanor left us reassured, empowered, and ready to embrace all tiny moments with our newborn.”
— Celia R., parent of 1
Deanna’s path to postpartum doula work has wound through many phases and forms of whole-family care, including infant and preschool education, camp counseling, and working as a nanny. She has cared for families across the identity and alternative-family building spectrum, throughout the United States and abroad in Argentina, Uruguay, the Canary Islands, the Dominican Republic, Mexico, and Canada. These experiences have given her a window in to the many ways families welcome new life - and have reinforced her belief that every family deserves individualized, compassionate support.
Now based in the Bend, OR area, Deanna brings a calm presence, a collaborative spirit, and practical postpartum support tailored to your family's unique needs. Whether she is helping with newborn care, feeding support, sibling transitions, nursery organization, household rhythms, or simply creating space for you to rest and recover, her goal is to help your family feel nurtured, confident, and cared for.
Deanna has a special love for preparing nourishing, allergy-friendly meals and creating organized, functional spaces that allow parents to focus on bonding with their baby. With a background in event planning and operations, she thrives at keeping things running smoothly so you can focus on what matters most.
She is passionate about open communication and curiosity as fuel for a team-oriented approach to supporting infant development and working alongside parents during the transformative season of welcoming a new baby! Her hope for families she works with is to help you slow down, rest, and soak in the fleeting moments of early parenthood.
When Deanna is not supporting families, you'll likely find her hiking, practicing yoga, sipping a chai latte, seeing live music, or exploring the beautiful Central Oregon outdoors with her five-year-old American Bully mix.
