Phelix Bleu Gamble

Postpartum Doula | she/they

“Bleu made sure I ate healthy meals, always had water, prepared pump parts, kept the house in order and in general, saved us all from crushing overwhelm. I can't say enough good things about Bleu…”

— Daniele S,, parent of 3

Bleu was crying over her desire to be a mother before she was even old enough to apply mascara. Being raised by her grandmother, she remembers becoming a caregiver early on in her life. Setting a padded towel on the bathroom floor for her grandmother’s knees before her grandmother gave her a bath, or unloading the bottom rack of the dishwasher is what started the path of her becoming a doula. Now that she and her grandmother are older, they enjoy bonding over how parenthood has changed, car seat standards, and how cloth diapers aren’t fabric and pins anymore. She spent 7 years being a nanny before starting her doula education in 2019.

Bleu enjoys the marvel of guiding new parents through the 4th trimester, watching them form lifelong bonds as their families grow (seeing parents coo back at their newborns is unforgettable!). She is passionate about working with and welcoming trans and queer families, families of multiples, and families with neurodivergent children looking for help with integrating their new family member(s).

Bleu is currently working towards educating and sharing resources on fair and safe abortions across states affected by the reversal of Roe v. Wade and is interested in pursuing that in her home state of Louisiana.

She also spends her days doing her second dream job: being a homemaker. You can always find Bleu watering the plants, making dinner, or spending time with her family. She is also passionate about film photography, the latest book she is reading, and anything coffee related, and she calls her grandmother daily.
