Tamarra Ragland

Certified Postpartum Doula

“Tamarra has a very gentle and calming nature that helped ease a lot of my anxiety as a first-time mom. I would heavily recommended her especially for moms [who] could use that extra dose of comfort and ease her presence brings.”

— Lia H., parent of 1

Supporting growing families has felt familiar to Tamarra from an early age. As the third child in a large family, she started out tending to babydolls and quickly graduated to helping care for her younger siblings. When her mother became a labor and delivery nurse, Tamarra often helped out with her childbirth classes, further connecting her to the world of birth and postpartum care.

After becoming a mother herself, Tamarra experienced firsthand how powerful and, at times, overwhelming the postpartum period can be. That experience deepened her compassion for new parents and strengthened her dedication to postpartum support, especially during those first tender weeks when so much change is unfolding.

With over 20 years of experience in childcare and child development, and eight years as a birth and postpartum doula, Tamarra has supported families through many stages of early parenting. Her approach is shaped by listening, calm presence, and trust in the innate wisdom that every parent holds. She shows up with warmth, practical support, and intuitive care—whether that means helping with newborn care, offering encouragement, or simply being a steady presence in the home.

Tamarra is proud to support a diverse range of families in both the Portland and Los Angeles areas. Every journey into parenthood is unique, and she’s honored to walk alongside you, holding space, meeting you where you are, and celebrating each step as you welcome your baby with love.
