A Baby! With Two Weeks' Notice!

Our adopted baby, Wren, came into our lives with only two weeks' notice. While we fell in love with Wren instantly, and we had some time to prepare, it was a quick change overall. Once our super-competent moms left and my husband started back in graduate school, I was left with a sweet tiny baby, huge piles of laundry, a need to get out once in awhile, and a sense of parenthood that was still developing.

Bridgetown Baby helped me with all of these things so much! Bridgetown Baby’s wonderful staff held my little Wren while folding laundry, emptying the dishwasher, and baking treats for me. They made it easier for me to leave because I knew that they would care for my baby and get an amazing amount of housework done, as well. Most important, though, was the way that working with Merriah and Emily helped to foster my growing sense of parenthood. The way that they treated me was kind and respectful and recognized that I was Wren’s mom. It may seem simple, but the sweet and yet matter of fact way that they treated me helped so much in the early days as I adjusted to my new role as a parent.
